About the speedometer
If your browser supports flash, java and php you should be able to test your download and upload connection bandwidth. Users of handheld mobile gadgets and cell phones should note that the files being downloaded can be very large (some larger than 10 MB). However the service itself is free and is provided by Speedtest.net Mini at Liavaag.org.
